When you start reading through the Bible, it doesn’t take long before one name just keeps showing up, 660 times to be exact. His name is David. He’s the shepherd boy, giant slayer, musician who calms a troubled king. He’s a leader, poet and a king.

But that’s not the whole story. Even though he’s faithful and fearless, he’s the same David who is also a murder, an adulterer, and a fugitive on the run. If we’re honest, that’s what makes his story feel so real.
